Alison Doody
Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland is a model and actor. Her debut came in a Bond film, A View to a Kill in the year 1985. She starred in 1989 as the archaeologist who was sympathetic to Nazis Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Siobhan is in A Prayer for the Dying, Charlotte in Taffin and Rebecca Flannery Major League II. Doody was a model after she was approached. It turned out to be a profitable career. Doody was extremely determined not to do the glamorous work or doing nude. The rule was extended to the acting profession. After catching the eye of the director of casting for a James Bond movie, she took a part in A View to a Kill as Jenny Flex. Doody was named as one of the 12 most promising new Actors from 1986 in John Willis Screen World, Vol. 38. Doody had just turned 18 when she took on the character of Bond girl. She remains the youngest Bondgirl to date. The year 1987 was the time Mickey Rourke starred in A Prayer for the Dying in which she portrayed IRA members Siobhan Doovan. Doody played Archibald Craven in his dreams in the 1987 TV adaptation from The Secret Garden. She was Lilias. Doody's first leading role came in the 1988 episode of Jim Henson fantasy series The Storyteller as Sapsorrow with John Hurt Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. She first appeared in the movie Taffin with Pierce Brosnan. Next, she played the role of Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian archaeologist, Nazi-sympathizer, and antagonist to Harrison Ford. Doody was in the film in the film with Sean Connery, who played Indy's father. In the year 1991, Doody was co-starring with Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the publication fraud, also known as the Hitler Diaries. Doody then relocated to Hollywood. The actress later became Flannery Charlie Sheen's agent, as well as partner on the set of Major League II. She was selected as an alternative to Cybill Shepherd, who had been L'Oreal's spokesperson. After nearly a decade from the stage Doody was back in the acting world and acted in a tiny role in 2003's British comedy movie The Actors with Michael Caine as her character in the award ceremony scene. However, this project fell through. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. The show also featured her in We Still Kill the Old Way (2014).
